Despite being introduced all the way back in 1999, the Cadillac Escalade really isn’t a great seller for Cadillac; in 2016, just 23,604 Escalades were sold in the U.S. – that isn’t what you’d call high volume. We don’t think that the price is the barrier either, you’ll find other luxury SUV brands outselling those numbers in a number of months.
For 2019, Cadillac say that they are building ‘a new generation of SUV’, and to be honest, they have to seriously up their game if they want to continue in that market; adding a load of leather and big engine no longer qualifies a vehicle to be called luxury, and let’s not even start on the style.

Caddy haven’t released much official information regarding the new Cadillac Escalade 2019, but we believe that the 2019 Escalade will hit the showrooms around the third quarter of 2018, think around July or August for the full roll out.

The current model Escalade retails for around $73,000 although massive (and we do mean massive) discounts are available for the current model. Add in a little bit of inflation, new technology, and general market conditions, and we could easily see that rise up to $76,000 for the base model.

If Cadillac really want to up the sales numbers, they need to significantly rework the Escalade. Yes, 2019 Cadillac Escalade image is a luxury SUV, but it does have a number of faults, and for us, the styling of it is perhaps something that needs the most work; big, boxy and ugly doesn’t work for us, and judging by the sales numbers, for very few of the buyers out there as well.

Rumors say that the new Escalade will be undergoing a number of changes, not just a facelift with the grille, lights and hood combo, but what will that entail?
2019 Cadillac Escalade changes include an updated cabin with high grade materials, extra sound proofing and insulation should help to give the impression of proper luxury, especially in 2019 Cadillac Escalade platinum top trim. Expect an updated infotainment system with a larger touchscreen.

Thanks to the latest legislation, we could even see a hybrid version competing in the same price bracket as the base model; manufacturers will start pushing hybrid tech a lot harder in the future, and the only real way of getting sales numbers up, is to bring prices down.
We think that Cadillac will retain the four trim levels – Standard, Luxury, Premium Luxury and Platinum.
